| Description: | The Joy of Skiing is designed for skiers and snowshoers of all ages and skill levels who enjoy skiing on groomed trails and eating a variety of entrees and snacks along the way. Designated dining locations along the trail system offer skiers a progressive picnic on skis. The traditional favorites of donuts, freshly made and served trailside by the Smith family, and hot Brew Pub soup at the covered bridge are back. Skiers will also enjoy a nice selection of homemade goodies at one of the food stations and S'mores at the firepit. Each hour between 10:00am and 3:00pm a different dining station opens along the trail system. Additional food and beverages will be available for purchase at the Cafe during the day. Venue Venue Name Sunday River Outdoor Center Times 10 am to 3 pm Fees A pre-registration fee of $6/$7 day-of-event fee (kids 6-12 and Seniors 65+ $4, kids 5 and under & those 80+ free), in addition to the normal trail fee and rental fees, covers all food and drinks included as part of the Progressive Picnic.
