Yassou! Join us in a celebration of Greek culture at the Annual Greek Food Festival on Thursday, June 27 thru Saturday, June 29, 2013, at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Portland, Maine (located on the corner of Pleasant and Park Street).

This spectacular three-day Greek Festival is a wonderful family event that each year draws more than 10,000 visitors from around the greater Portland area. Along with the exquisite Greek cuisine, there will be live music and traditional dancing.

Guests will dine on exceptional Greek food, cooked the old-fashioned way by hard-working members of the Holy Trinity parish, using authentic Greek recipes, all-natural ingredients and lots of tender, loving care.

Lamb Souvlaki, marinated in olive oil, lemon and herbs, will be grilled to perfection and served with rice pilaf and Greek salad. Other favorites will include Dolmades (grape leaves wrapped around ground beef and rice), Moussaka (layers of eggplant, ground beef and topped with a cream sauce) and Spanakopita (layers of phyllo stuffed with spinach and cheese).

Visitors will be able to satisfy their "sweet tooth" as well. Delicious Greek pastries, including Baklava (layers of nuts and phyllo soaked in honey), Kourabiedes (crescent-shaped butter cookies covered with powdered sugar) and Loukomades (fried dough balls covered with honey and chopped nuts) will be served.

A Greek band will provide live entertainment nightly so visitors can try out their fancy footwork on the dance floor. The Festival also will feature performances by an exciting dance group wearing authentic Greek costumes.
