Lobster is synonymous with the state of Maine. So much so that until 1999, a bright red lobster was the only ornamentation seen on the Pine Tree State's license plates. This festivalpart culinary celebration, part arts and crafts fair, part music fest, and part maritime explorationis classic Americana.

Its not just fresh lobster. Seafood lovers can also dive into clams, mussels, calamari, rock shrimp, scallops, haddock and crab. If you pace yourself just right, you can eat everything on the Main Eating Tent menu over the course of five days.
