Come see the beautiful creations made by Maine and New England artists and craftsmen at the 26th Annual Summer Solstice Craft Show, Saturday and Sunday, September 6 & 7, at the Wells Elementary School on Route 109.

The fair has become an end-of-summer tradition for visitors and locals alike. Seventy plus artists and crafters display their wares inside and outdoors on the brick court yard.

The Summer Solstice crafts shows, which are juried, are known for their quality and variety of crafts. Visitors will find a wide variety of jewelry, pottery, photography, soaps, clothing and accessories, candles, wood crafts, fiber arts, handcrafted specialty foods and much more.

Heres just a sampling of the variety youll find.

Amazing knitted items made from alpaca fiber! Fiber artist Kari Lewis of Clark Summit Alpacas, from Deering, New Hampshire, makes hats, scarves, mittens, sweaters, rugs, socks and more.

Other artists at the fair include:
Photographer David Sullivan of Ogunquit. His skill with color makes the everyday come to life.
Brigitte Delaplace, jeweler, from Kennebunk. Elegant beaded jewelry, and more.
Pauline Lampert, primitive country crafts, from Portsmouth, NH.
Jennifer Hickman, handmade candles, from Andover, MA.
Jean Gonyea, American doll clothes and furniture, from Essex Junction, VT.
Susan Adams and Lynne Park of Lebanon, wood-turned products.
Janice Violette of Oakland, recycled mittens and baskets from sweaters and jeans.

The craft fair also includes live music provided by folk musician Carolyn Currie of Cumberland. Her CDs will be available at the show. Carolyn has a strong following and has received many accolades as a performer.

Beach Dawgs Cafe will be offering luncheon specials. Their homemade, hearty Maine fare will please all palates.

The craft show is held rain or shine from 10 AM to 4.
