Description:

From League of Maine Craft Show Website:

Ready for some holiday shopping? You'll find unique handmade gifts at the 31st Annual League of Maine Craft Show in Wells, November 1 & 2. The juried show, held at the Wells Jr. High School on Rte. 1 (1470 Post Road), features 65 Maine and New England artists and craftsmen.

The fair is a tradition for visitors and locals alike. The aisles are filled with creativity: Jewelry, pottery, photography, soaps, clothing and accessories, candles, wood crafts, fiber arts, handcrafted specialty foods and much more.

Here's just a sampling of the variety you'll find.
-Amazing lamps straight from the woods of New England. Crafter Mike Wallace hails from Londonderry, NH. He handcrafts, one-of-a-kind, lamps, candles holders, wine racks, hooks, hangers and more.
-Painter Virgina Souza of Wells and Judith Hodges of South Portland each make art that evokes Maine and nature. Souza studied for years with Ogunquit master George Carpenter. Her paintings of lighthouses are among the subjects she is known for. Judith Hodges is a master of watercolor. Her delicate and evocative paintings capture nature - from the wild Atlantic, to the wildflowers of Maine. Both artists have been attending this show for years and have a huge following.
-Pieces of Maine sea glass jewelry. Earrings, necklaces and charm bracelets made with beautiful pieces of sea glass found on Maine beaches. Artful, affordable jewelry that always highlights the beauty of the glass.
-Sally Bags, of Center Conway, New Hampshire. Artisans Janet Durkee-Prescott and Siiri Grubb make purses, handbags and totes that capture the liveliness and fun these longtime collaborators have in designing and creating their bags and accessories.
-Photographer Penny Pesaturo of Rowley, Massachusetts. Penny has been able to merge her love of art-making with photography by, as she says, "embracing digital manipulation." The results are stunning photographs alive with color, drama and a perspective that reflects the photographer's eye for energy and design.
-Bling Artware clothing. Laurie Adelman, of Rollinsford, New Hampshire, makes clothing that combines sass, class and bling. Clothes that are functional and lots of fun.

The craft fair also includes live music provided by folk musician Carolyn Currie of Cumberland. Her CDs will be available at the show. Carolyn has a strong following and has received many accolades as a performer.

Beach Dawgs Cafe will be providing a hearty and hot menu, which will be available throughout the day at the "cafe" near the entryway.

The show is 10 AM to 4 PM both days. Admission and Parking are FREE.
