Who says that there is nothing to do in the wintertime?! Loving Local Downtown Winter Celebration is a new family friendly event that will have activities inside downtown businesses and at the Waterfront Park. This event will feature the best of Downtown Gardiner in the wintertime on Saturday, February 7 at 10am-2pm. All are welcome to spend the day shopping, eating, socializing, and participating in family fun activities throughout the day.

Check out our Loving Local Downtown Winter Celebration Event Page on Facebook Downtown Activities Include: Valentine Card Making inside Spin Off Studio, 10am - 2pm Get creative using a variety of craft materials and make a valentine to share with those you love. Snowman Decorating at Waterfront Park, 10am - 2pm Pre-made snowmen will be awaiting your finishing touch to give them some personality Valentine Cookie Decorating, inside Founding Farmers Community Market, 10am - 2pm Add some extra sugar before enjoying it! One free cookie per child. Adult & Child Mini-Canvas Painting, inside Cre8tive Earth Art Gallery, 10am - 2pm Get creative with your special little one and have something to bring home to remember the fun. One free per child. This activity sponsored by Out of My Head Designs, and the Gardiner Cash Mob Snow Shelter Demo From Maine Primitive Skills School, at Waterfront Park, 10am - 2pm Enjoy the snow with Augusta's wilderness survival and primitive skills school. If there is not adequate snow, another activity will be planned. Hot Cocoa & Bake Sale, Hosted By Gardiner Main Street at Waterfront Park, 10am - 2pm Stop by the Gardiner Main Street table to warm up with some cocoa and treats. Soups for Sale, Co-op Member Photos, Hosted By Gardiner Food Co-op & Cafe, Waterfront Park, 10am - 2pm Purchase some delicious soup and chili at the Co-op's table made with the best ingredients. Co-op member owners can have their photos taken holding their new "Proud Member Owner" sign. Valentine's Story Time at Gardiner Public Library Children's Room, 10 - 10:30am A special Valentine-themed story reading for younger children Valentine's Day Inspired Origami Gardiner Public Library Children's Room, 10:30 - 11am A free activity following story time. Candy Craft Making Session inside Bam Jam Candy Shop, 11am Get creative with your treats in our favorite candy shop. one time only session, $15 per participant Outdoor Nature Walk & Talk Around Waterfront Park Begins/Ends at Library, 11am - 12:15pm Learn about all that nature has to offer in the wintertime. Ends with cookies at the Library. Face Painting at SpinOff Studio, 12 - 2pm It wouldn't be an event without some face painting! What will you put on your cheek? Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown at Bam Jam Candy Shop, screening all day Stop in for this TV classic, showing all day long.
