The one-day, two-session event will be held on Saturday, September 23 at 58 Fore Street in Portland, Maine, and will feature hundreds of beers matured and changed by wood-aging. Once again, we're honored to be sponsored by Allagash Brewing Company.

"Those who attended our early Extreme and Belgian Beer Fests in Boston might recall our special Night of the Barrels and Night of the Funk Friday evening events. We're essentially resurrecting and combining the two, and requiring that all beers be barrel-aged," explains BA co-founder Todd Alstrm.

"Whether brewers are dabbling with spirit or wine barrels, using foeders, or even adding wood spirals, it all elevates beer to a new level," adds BA co-founder Jason Alstrm. "Beer Meets Wood will be a clear snapshot of the diverse world of aging beer in wood."

Mission and Approach
Beer Meets Wood aims to bring greater awareness to the centuries-old practice of aging beer in wooden barrels, a method thats currently surging in popularity. Brewer attendance is required to ensure the highest level of representation and education. And, as always, BA pays for the beer.

Tickets
Tickets go on sale Saturday, March 4 at noon ET for $55 per person (plus fees) and include all beer tastings and access to one of two sessions on September 23 (123:30 p.m. and 69:30 p.m.). All attendees must be 21+ with a valid ID.
