51st annual Fall Foliage Festival

Bookmark and Share
Location Boothbay
Dates October 06, 2018 - October 07, 2018
Description:

From 51st annual Fall Foliage Festival Website:

Every Columbus Day Weekend the Museum's Village Green welcomes dozens of vendors of handmade items and fabulous food along with a wide variety of live entertainment. The sound of the train's steam whistle resonating throughout the crisp fall air reminds guests that this is not your typical craft show.

The beautiful crafts are center stage on the Village Green surrounded by the historic buildings and structures of the Boothbay Railway Village. Rides on the narrow gauge steam train and the opportunity for guests to explore exhibits detailing Maine's railroad heritage, interpreting village life, and displaying more than 60 antique automobiles set this event apart.

Artisan demonstrations, live music and a children's corner sponsored by the Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library and the Boothbay Sea & Science Center adds to the fun of this family tradition.

Open from 9 AM 5 PM on Saturday, 10 AM 4 PM on Sunday and Monday.

Admission is $4. Children 12 and under and Museum Members are free. Steam train tickets are an additional $5 each (free for Museum Members.) Parking is free both in the Museum's main parking lots and the special event parking lot across Route 27 next to T & D Variety.

The Fall Foliage Festival is presented in partnership with the Boothbay Information Center. Visit their website for visitor information about the Boothbay Region including places to stay, things to do and where to eat.

Fall Foliage Festival is just one stop along Maine's Pumpkin Trail, a partnership celebrating history, art and giant fruit along 50 miles of what we think is Maine's most beautiful coastline! Follow Maine's Pumpkin Trail on Facebook to discover great ways to celebrate fall with friends and family of all ages. While in the region be sure to check out the Damariscotta Pumpkinfest & Regatta which takes place on the same weekend just 15 minutes away! Other stops on Maine's Pumpkin Trail include the Farnsworth Art Museum and Maine Maritime Museum.

New vendor applications will be accepted starting on February 15th for fine arts, crafts and handmade products, local foods and for regional non-profits to exhibit. Contact Margaret Hoffman at (***) ***-**** or via email for more information.
